Congressional Awards Gold Medalist, Boyan Tiwang
The Congressional Award provides opportunities for young people to unleash their potential by achieving personal goals focused on volunteerism, character development, and fitness.
For the past 2 years, Boyan, a junior at Charles H. Flowers High School, has worked diligently on accomplishing this national achievement.
To obtain this covenant award, Boyan had to accomplish a minimum of the following:
Voluntary Public Service: 400 HoursPersonal Development: 200 HoursPhysical Fitness: 200 hoursExpedition: 5-day, 4-night trip
Not only is this young man the recipient of a Congressional Gold Medal, but he is also an accomplished violinist.
